Beauty has always been a part of who I am.
Like so many women, I loved makeup, but for years I didn’t truly understand it. I didn’t know color theory, how to find the right foundation, or how to
apply makeup in a way that looked effortless and natural. I loved the idea of makeup, but I didn’t know where to begin.
Then one day, while scrolling through social media, I came across an advertisement for a makeup masterclass in Las Vegas. What caught my attention wasn’t just the class—it was the artistry. The instructor’s makeup was vibrant, creative, and unlike anything I had seen before. It inspired me to take a chance on myself.
I booked my flight, reserved my hotel, and signed up.
Walking into that classroom, I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. But I knew what I hoped to leave with: the knowledge and confidence to create makeup that enhanced natural beauty rather than covered it.
That experience changed everything.
I learned color theory, complexion matching, foundation techniques, eye artistry, and the small details that make all the difference. More importantly, I discovered that makeup isn’t about changing who you are—it’s about expressing yourself and feeling confident in your own skin. When I left Las Vegas, I knew beauty had become more than a hobby. It had become my passion.
At first, I had no plans to start a beauty brand. I simply wanted to help women feel beautiful and confident.
But as I continued my journey, I noticed something that stayed with me.
Women in my community loved luxury beauty brands like Dior, Chanel, and Estée Lauder. We admired the beautiful packaging, the elegant experience,
and the performance of their products. Yet for many women, those products weren’t realistic for everyday use.
At the same time, I realized something else.
Affordable beauty often came with compromises. Some products lacked performance. Others didn’t feel good on the skin or lips. And many didn’t deliver the experience women were looking for.
I kept asking myself one question:
Why should women have to choose between quality, performance, thoughtful ingredients, and affordability?
That question became the foundation of Unfilterd.
I created Unfilterd because I believe beauty should never require compromise.
Every product we create is designed with purpose—to deliver beautiful results, feel incredible to wear, and become part of your everyday routine. We believe high-performing formulas and thoughtfully selected ingredients shouldn’t be reserved for luxury brands. They should be accessible to every
woman.
Our first collection of lip glosses reflects that philosophy. We wanted glosses that feel comfortable instead of sticky, leave lips looking healthy and radiant, and deliver the shine, hydration, and performance women expect from premium beauty brands.
